Drew Bentley grew up all over the country as he followed his parents, Scott and Maryne Bentley, in his Dad’s career in the National Park Service. After spending his formative years living all over the country and traveling all over the world, Drew fell in love with finding those special places and experiences that you can’t find anywhere else in the world.
While on a wine tour around Michigan with his Dad, Drew fell in love with wine. Drew often tells people “the Michigan wine industry is like undiscovered gold, just because not many people know about it doesn’t mean that it isn’t amazing!” Drew has made it his life mission to help others discover the “gold” that is the Michigan wine industry.
Drew has spent the last four years, with his parents, working to open the Michigan Wine and Beer Portal and now his dream is coming true! Drew is working to create a special place that you can’t find anywhere else in the world and he is doing it right here in Downtown Monroe. Capitalizing on the natural, cultural, and historic resources that are so abundant in Monroe, they will be opening the new Michigan Wine and Beer Portal on the river level of Monroe’s historic Masonic Temple, built in 1931.
